Matariki

This week for reading we were learning how to compare and contrast. We read about Matariki in different countries and different stories for Matariki. I was in the group with Baxter, Leyla, Mya, Arabella, Camille and James. I enjoyed comparing the stories because they were all very different. I found it tricky to pick a background because barely anything showed up.

  1. Kia ora Kylah,
I liked the way your presented your work. It was easy to read the information. I have never heard of Kiowa before - what country does that come from?

  2. Kia ora . My name is Elliott and I attend Mangapapa School in Gisborne, Tairāwhiti. I liked the way you used words like when you say bear warriors climb a stone it really puts a picture in my head about the matariki stars. You also gave lots of information about the matariki stars. Why did you have to be in a group for the activity?

  3. Kia ora. My name is Aubrey and I attend Mangapapa School in Gisborne, Tairāwhiti. I like how you talked about the differences of the matariki star cluster.
I love your goal to write a book and publish it for Saint Mary's talent.
You taught me that matariki is the mother star and the rest symbolise something.
I think it would help to add more information and slides for the reader.
