One Is A Snail, Ten Is A Crab Summer Learning Journey Toru Tekau Ma Rua

Today for Summer Learning Journey we read a book called One is a snail, ten is a crab. It is about counting to ten and counting in tens. It was counting using the amount of things legs. Like how number four in the book was a dog that has four legs. I had to choose between slides and pen and paper. I remembered that in 2020 my class used a site called Book Creator. You can use it to make books. I decided to make my book there.

Did you know that people first counted to ten in the 7th Century?

I found it tricky to embed the book. I later figured out that you can not embed books onto blogs. I did find out how to make a link to get to a site that has the book. I also found it tricky to find out what to make in my book. I thought after a little while, I thought of adding a Maori translation for each English sentence.

Thank you for reading my blog. Click the link here.

And here is my Kick Start:

Biosecurity Add

We have been learning about biosecurity. Our task was to make an add about how you had to make an add on why to check our bags. We were not allowed to use google slides so I chose to make a book.

I liked writing the book because I like to read books as much as make them. This was different so it was harder than usual.

I found it hard to find pictures of the foot and mouth disease because it keeps coming up with hand foot an mouth. A disease humans can get.

My digital learning object shows that I can write a book on Book Creator, Take a screenshot of the title page the link the book to the screenshot.

Maori Days, Months and Seasons Book

This week is Maori language week. Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori. We had to read the book Mossie. Then we had to make a Maori book.

I liked Writing the book. I liked writing the book because I like to read books as much as make them. This was different so it was harder than usual.

I found it easy to add the Maori words. It was easy to add the Maori words because they were on our wall of the class room. I just had to read them and write them at the same time.
