ANZAC Postcard and Diary Entry

This week for writing we have been learning how to analyse and synthesize.  We had to make a postcard home and a diary entry from the perspectives of the WW heroes. I enjoyed making an envelope for the postcard because I could design it anyway I wanted. I found it tricky to make the red circle because it kept ripping. Next time I would put more on the postcard.

Anzac Activity Slides

For 2 weeks I have being doing Anzac Activity Slides.
I found it easy to do the ones where it said to draw them.
I found it tricky to get all the puzzle pieces because it took so long!

Anzac Biscuits

Today my family made anzac biscuits. Anzac biscuits were sent by women and wives of the people in the war because the ingredients did not go off. They look delicious in on the plate! I would not change anything because they are delicious.
I found it easy to mix the ingredients.
I found it tricky to mold them.

Anzac Stained Glass Window

Today I made a stained glass cross using felts.
I found it easy to make a poppy and lines going everywhere.
I found it tricky to colour in the little spaces.
Next time I will change the colours to a little bit darker colours.

My Anzac Themed Prayer Space.

Today I made a Anzac themed prayer space. The poppies are for the only thing that grew at war. The prayer rock was for me to hold while I pray. The rosary beads were for me to pray the hail mary. The message 'Lest we forget' was so we dont forget about the people who died at war and the candle is for God's light. I am very happy with how it turned out and I don't want to change it.
I found it easy to make prayer rock.
I found it tricky to make the poppies because I self-laminated them with sticky tape.

Dear God, I pray for those who have died in both world wars. May the be looked after in heaven. Amen.

The Fort Challenge

Today I built a Anzac Army Hut for a challenge called The Fort Challenge.
I found it easy to write the little notes to tell what they are.
I found it tricky to get in it because it is really tiny.
Next time I will change the guns to nerf guns instead of poles that my youngest brother calls "Pew pews".

Anzac Trench Life.

Today I drew a scene of the Anzac Trench Life.
I found it easy to draw the food.
I found it tricky to make an explosion.
Next time I will change the rats because most of them look weird.

Anzac Wreath And Nature Eggs.

Today my family went on a nature walk and picked up as many red leaves and flowers as we could.
I found it easy to make an egg.
I found it tricky to make a wreath with only red leaves.
Next time I will change the flowers colour.
