Yucky Bugs

Today I was learning about yucky bugs. I chose to make a butterfly because I found a butterfly but it died today. I made the wings out of orange card and a black felt. I made the body out of bobby pins and hair ties. I stuck the body to the wings with sticky tape.
I found it easy to make the wings black.
I found it tricky to use the string to make it look like it is floating.
My digital learning object shows that I can take a photo on my chromebook.
The coolest bug is the New Zealand leaf vein slug. When you are asleep they poop on and clean your seat. Centipedes are useful predators. They live on the soil and leaf litter and especially in compost bins. Ants eat the bird poop on your deck.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Today I was learning about how to reduce, reuse, recycle.
I found it easy to copy some pictures of a set of slides to put them on my poster.
I found it tricky to put some facts onto the poster.

Closed Loop

Today I was learning about how a leaves has different kind in different times. The flower in the middle is for the kid of tree it is from.
I found it easy to find the same leaf but they look different.
I found it tricky to make them into a circle.

T - Shirt Bag

Today I was learning how to reuse and repurpose. I used my bothers old shirt so that is why it has monsters on it.
I found it easy to cut the shirt.
