Writing Journal

This week for writing we have been learning how to summarize. We had to fill out a journal one task per day. I chose to do a six sentence story. It is about a grasshopper named Hugo. Read my story to learn more. I enjoyed writing the story because I love writing books. I found it tricky to come up with a fifth sentence because It was about how they felt. It was a sad situation so I made him sad. Here it is:

Grasshopper out of Nature

This week for art I had to make art out of plants and sticks. So I took some sticks, leaves, flowers and long grass then I made a Grasshopper. (I Love Bugs!) I used Sticks for legs, long grass for the body, flowers for the eyes and avocado tree leaves for the wings. I enjoyed making the grasshopper because I made something in nature OUT of nature. I found it tricky to find that stuff I wanted to use because there was not must on our lawn. Here it is:
