Matt Stanton

This week for writing we have been learning how to make links between our paragraphs. We wrote about our favourite author. I chose Matt Stanton. Matt Stanton wrote the Funny kid series. Not much is known about him so I put what I could find. I enjoyed learning about him because there were lots of cool facts. I found it tricky to find his adulthood because my search results just came up with clothes. So I searched up life and it showed up more information.

Here is my Writing:

Full Name: Matt Stanton
Date of Birth: 24 December 1983

Childhood:
Matt was born in Sydney, Australia on Christmas Eve in 1983. He created his first story when he was five years old. It had only a few words and a lot of cartoons. His teacher threw this book into the bin because it was Rude and Inappropriate. But the story made the kid opposite him almost wet his pants because it was so funny. He said that it was pretty amazing to make someone almost wet themselves from his writing. When he was seven he knew he was going to be an author when he grew up.

Adulthood:
Matt has worked as a checkout man, a cheese grater, an accountant, a mail man and an art director. It took him a long time to publish a book but he never gave up on his dream of being an author. He has a wife named Beck Stanton and has three children. Their names are Bonnie, Boston and Miller. He likes to grow mangoes in his backyard and they are his favourite fruit. Matt works 10 minutes walk from the beach and thinks Sydney is the best place on earth.

Fun Facts:
Matt created his first story when he was five. Both he and his wife are Bestselling Authors. He is really good at claw machines. He does all of his drawing and writing on computers.
