Create a Bug

Today for my summer learning journey I had to make a Bug out of things in my garden. So I made a clicking beetle. I find lots of clicking beetles at night because we have christmas lights. It is amazing how when they spread out their wings they just hover off. The ones I find are usually black but I made it look colourful.

I liked finding the stuff because it was the easiest bit.

It was hard to make the bug because it kept flying off with the wind

Here is what I tried to make:

  1. Hey Kylah,

It’s Zana from the Summer Learning Journey.

This post is great, I like how you introduced the activity and what you enjoyed and found hard about it and included a reference picture of the insect you made.

I think your insect looks awesome, you really made the wings look spread out just like the bugs and the body is almost the exact same shape. Does your beetle have a name?

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates
