Haiku poem

Today for my summer learning journey I had to make a haiku poem about Summer.
I liked finding an image because it was the easiest bit.
It was hard to make the haiku because It needed to be specifically on Summer.
Here is my haiku poem:

  1. Hey Kylah,

It’s Zana from the Summer Learning Journey.

I really enjoyed this haiku activity as I love to read poetry and I think haikus are a very fun form of poetry with their syllable rules and simplicity.

I think you did a great job writing your haiku and I like the image you found, it sums up summer really well as I am sure everyone knows the feeling of running across the hot sand to the water to cool down.

If you wanted to step up your work you could write a few more haikus and even add a video of you reading some of them aloud.

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates
