A Summery Saturday Morning Summer Learning Journey Tekau Ma Whetu

Today for Summer Learning Journey I read a book by Margaret Mahy. It was called A Summery Saturday Morning. It is about a bunch of people bringing their two dogs down a windy path and their dogs chase a cat and eight geese.

Margaret Mahy was born on 21st March 1936 and was the eldest of five children growing up. Just like me! Margaret died on 23 July

I enjoyed making the scene in Minecraft because I could use as much creativity as I wanted. I used an Item called Bone meal to make nature appear when I right-click. It made it easier than putting a load of grass and flowers everywhere and it taking way longer than it should.

Thank you for reading my blog. Here are my slides:

Ka pai on your reading! Mahy is such an important author to Aotearoa. Very appropriately titled book given the activity! Did you enjoy the book? Did you have an parts of the story you really liked?

Tēnā koe for completing the activity, can’t wait to see what else you post over the Summer Learning Journey!
