Gliders
Today for the summer learning journey I had to make a glider out of recycling and make it work. I had to run outside to the road side bin because it was the recycle day where I live! Mine did not work but I tried lots of times! Did you know gliders have no motor and just glide across the sky? I learnt that if you cover the ends with tape it glides easier. I enjoyed making the google drawings of what my glider should look like because it was nice and easy and did not take that long. I found it tricky to make it fly because the end was covered in tape in the first one. So I took of the tape and it worked a little bit better. Next time I would change it so it could actually fly not just fall and do even more research.

Kia Ora Kylah,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.
I think your glider looks awesome and it is great to hear you made it out of recyclable materials, gotta look after the planet!
I think it's great that you made multiple different designs and tested them all, looking at your video I think they may be a little too heavy to glide. What do you think you could change to make them glide better?
I would also like to know which activities were your favourite this summer?
Ngā mihi nui,

Kia Ora Zana!
DeleteThank you so much for commenting on my blog!
I think I would change it so there was less tape.
My favourites were the special spot of summer because I got to go to my favourite place, Giuseppe Arcimboldo because I got to make someone and Optical Illusions because it was a challenge.
What was your favourite task?
Mā te Wā,
Kylah
