Kia Ora Kylah,
ReplyDeleteYour blog post is great! It explains everything very clearly and it also seems as though you have learnt lots of new things too! I would hate if my my Summer break was only 10 days!
I also like the Venn diagram at the bottom of your post! It explains the 2 differences and the similarities between the different countries. Have you ever used a Venn diagram for any other task in class or anything, or was this your first time? I have used a Venn diagram before to explain the differences between 2 animals in class at school.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the rest of your holidays! Are you planning to go away or anything?
Happy holidays, stay safe!
Mā Te Wā,
Hayley
Kia Ora Hayley!

I have used a venn diagram before in lots of contexts!
I do not know if we are going away, but we might!

Kia Ora Kylah,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.
This activity is great for putting life into perspective, New Zealand summer is very different to summer in other countries based on our school holiday timetables, our place on the planet depending what time of the year our summer season is and what holidays we celebrate.
I think you did a great job adding some great facts about the New Zealand and Japanese summer and your venn diagram is set up well.
What facts or differences did you find most interesting?
Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.
Ngā mihi nui,

The most interesting fact or difference was that in India, one unique area is the Kashmir Valley in the north, where summer break is only ten days.
