That Was Summer!

Today for the summer learning journey I had to make a poem about summer. Did you know not all poems rhyme? I learnt that there is more than just two types of nouns. I enjoyed making the poem because it was nice and easy and did not take that long. I found it tricky to find an image on tolaga bay because there was not many and most did not show the beach. So I looked a little longer and found a really good one. Next time I would change it so it had more writing on it rather than mostly picture.
Here is my poem:

Sorry I did not post this! Here are the slides!

  1. Kia Ora Kylah,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I think these poetry activities are my favourite, I like all the creative writing and descriptions of everyone's interpretations of summer. It is great to hear that you found this activity easy and fun.

I think your poem is beautifully written and I think my favourite lines are also the first two, they remind me of hot summer days at the beach and bbq’s with my friends and family. I like the image you have shared with your poem, is that Tolaga Bay?

Great job stepping it up and sharing a clip of you reading your poem, are you able to share the slides you completed on this post as well.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates
