3D Dinosaur

Today Mum said I should make a dinosaur with a wooden puzzle and post it on my blog.
I enjoyed popping the wood out.
I found it tricky to put it together.
My digital learning object shows that I can follow instructions.

Cool Looking Red-Headed Yellow-Winged Bird

(Please look at the video first for laughs! and a tiny problem with two wasps!)
Today my brother (The one with NO glasses) saw a bird from out the window and said 'TEE TEET!' We came to see what it was and saw two really cool birds (The Green Bird and the Red-Headed Yellow-Winged Bird). I turned on my laptop and we all ran outside. They flew away as soon as I got ready for the photo. Then after a while we saw the Red-Headed Yellow-Winged Bird flying from place to place. So I got us together and took the video. I was so excited when we caught it on camera. I have researched what kind of birds the Red-Headed Yellow-Winged Bird name was and it was the European Goldfinch. They eat seeds of weeds and strawberry seeds better watch out!
We enjoyed catching it on camera.
We found it tricky to find the bird.
My digital learning object shows that take a video outside.

Duplo Day

Today I thought that I should play with Duplo instead of playing on computers. I made the little yellow digger from the book, a castle, a train and a gym. My brother helped me make the digger.
I enjoyed making a castle.
I found it easy to make a train.
I found it tricky to make the gym.
Next time I would change the colour of the flowers on the castle.
My digital learning object shows that I can take a photo.

Manu Tukutuku Kite

A couple of days ago our class went down to the river to cut flax. With the flax we cut, we made Manu Tukutuku kites, along with bamboo sticks. We had to persevere. After a couple of days my flax looked like bamboo!
I enjoyed cutting the flax.
I found it easy to tie the sticks together with the flax.
I found it tricky to weave the flax around the sticks.
My digital learning object shows that I can persevere.

Here is my Manu TukuTuku:

Matariki Star

This week we have been making 3D matariki facts stars. I accidently hole punched in the middle of one of the stars.
I enjoyed colouring it in.
I found it tricky to hole punch it.
I found it easy to tie it to the wire that is connected to the roof.
Next I am I will change the way I coloured it and colour in the stars that are all over the big star.
My digital learning object shows that I can take a picture of my work.

Matariki Breakfast

This morning we had a shared breakfast to celebrate Matariki. At morning tea I actually forgot to eat!
It was a FEAST!
I enjoyed eating the food.
Here is a photo of me in Leyla talking about our pancakes being even. Everybody thought they tasted the same:

June reflection

We are reflecting on our June work. It took a while!
I enjoyed reading the classmate compliments because it made my day.
I found it easy to do the class complements because I had to do 3 of them!
I found it tricky to take the selfie because the light was in the way.
My digital learning object shows I can share my work with a friend.
