Camping Maths

Today for my summer learning journey I had to make a campsite for maths. Some of them made almost no sense.

I liked colouring it because it was the easiest bit.

It was hard to figure out the maths because it said two instead of three so we had to do two.

Today for my summer learning journey I had to reply to someone who commented on my blog. I chose Hayley from Matawai School. It was Such a nice comment! Thank you Hayley!

I liked reading the comment because it was the easiest bit.

It was hard to make the reply nice because it was such a nice comment!

Today for my summer learning journey I had to make summer food collage. I chose to do ice cream, apples, weetbix and Coca-Cola.

I liked making the food images because it was the easiest bit.

It was hard to make the description because some of them I did not know why I liked them.

Happy New Year In Ten Different Languages

Today for my summer learning journey I had to make happy new year in ten languages. Some of them were very tricky.

I liked finding some languages because it was the easiest bit.

It was hard to make the paper because It was hard to spell some.

Ultraviolet wearable indicator

Today for my summer learning journey I had to make an ultraviolet wearable indicator. I chose to do korus because it is a kiwi thing. It has the name of each month so we know which one to wear. This would have been helpful yesterday because it was about a purple and I got burnt a lot!

I liked making the indicator because it was the easiest bit.

It was hard to make the necklaces because it was hard to make the koru.

Dam that works

Today for my summer learning journey I had to make a working dam. I decided to do this while camping. I made it out of wet sand, shells, rocks and seaweed

We build them to stop flooding and sometimes we make them to create energy. These are called hydro dams or hydroelectricity.

I liked making the dam because it was the easiest bit.

It was hard to keep the dam up because the waves kept whacking against it.

Today for my summer learning journey I had to make a word art with words about me. I chose the words Cheerful, Happy, Funny, Art and Nice because they meant something to me.

I liked thinking of words because it was the easiest bit.
